Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci has finally gotten her name in the Guinness World Records.
Hilda who initially tried to enter the books GWR with her cookathon finally entered with a different cooking record.

Hilda Baci officially entered the Guinness World Record books for the largest serving of Jollof rice, weighing an incredible 8,780 kg.
Hilda started cooking the jollof on Friday, September 12, at the Gino World Jollof Festival in Lagos. After 9 hours, she and her team finished cooking on Saturday.

Although there was a setback when the pot broke as it was being hoisted on a crane to be weighed, Hilda still kept it together.
She revealed that over 16,600 plates of rice were served from the 8,780 kg of jollof rice.

In a post on her Instagram, Hilda listed all the ingredients she used to cook
- 4,000 kg of washed basmati rice
- 612 kg of oil
- 800 kg of Gino Asun peppered chicken + party jollof
- 600 kg of my Jollof pepper mix
- 220 kg of Gino Asun & peppered chicken cubes
- 20 g of Gino curry + 7 g of Gino thyme
- 300 kg of onion, garlic & ginger blend
- 164 kg of fresh goat meat
- 1,200 kg of gas
- 9 hours of fire, passion & teamwork
