“The rules were set from day 1 and we are not ready to break it” – Sarkodie Responds to Critics saying He’ll Destroy Baba Yara

Sarkodie will be hosting the first-ever Rapperholic in Kumasi, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The rapper visited the region after the bold decision to host his annual concert, Rapperholic, outside Accra for the first time because his fans are all across the nation, and they want to feel his live performance, at least once in a lifetime.

The fans are thrilled by his Media tour and the promotion of the event, but the venue doesn’t sit well with most people, especially football lovers.

The Baba Yara Sports Stadium is almost the most banned Sports Stadium by the Confederation of African Football, CAF, due to its entire poor quality. Recently, it has been fixed and is now handed over to the Entertainer for such a huge concert. The question most people are asking is whether the pitch condition will be the same after the event.

The head of the National Sport Authority, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, responsible for all stadia in Ghana, has assured football fans that before Sarkodie was permitted to host the Rapperholic The Homecoming at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

This statement made by the NSA boss was published on Sporty Fm, a Sports station in Ghana, and the artist quoted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that “the rules were set from day 1 and we are not ready to break them”.

This reply from Sarkodie shows he is ready to collaborate with the National Sports Authority to protect the turf by covering the Grass to avoid mass stepping on it.

So far, this is positive energy from both parties showing goodwill and patriotism to protect and not destroy state properties.
