Ghana’s Joseph Paintsil sets record in the MLS with a First Half Hat-trick.

A record was set in the Major League Soccer last weekend, by Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil, as his side, LA Galaxy Football Club, trashed Sporting Kansas City by four goals.

The Major league Soccer in the USA is egding towards the end of thier 2024/25 season and every team wants to make a bold statement by staying off the last spot and fight for a place in the top 8 even though it’s unrealistic because they’re last on the league tabel combining the easternand western conference and participate in the Championship play offs but this win will give them a good momentum.

The Ghanaian forward joined the elite of the Los Angeles Galaxy Football Club record holders by scoring 3 in the first half of the match against Sporting KC in the 4th, 25th, and 43rd minutes to give his team a comfortable lead.

Fagundez scored the 4th goal in the 60th minute of the second half as their opponent managed to pull one back in the 28th minute.
Alejandro Moreno set this record in 2004 against D.C United at the RFK Stadium.

Robbie Keane amazingly broke this record by scoring in the 24th, 34th, and 44th minutes against Seattle Sounders in 2013.

The current Record holder of the fastest first-half Hat-trick on the American Side is Joseph Paintsil.

Since his debut in 2024, he has played 60 matches for the club, scoring 24 goals and providing 10 assists, earning two honors: the Major League Soccer Cup (2024) and the Western Conference 2024 edition.
