The Biggest Award show in America, the Grammys, has today, October 6, 2025, recognised Ghanaian musician and producer, Richie Mensah as a voting member of the Grammy Recording Academy.
The voters number around 16,000, and the Ghanaian producer happens to be one of the few Africans eligible to vote in this prestigious academy.

To win a Grammys, one must be a member of the academy and here is the list a known Ghanaians who are members and the years they joined: Juls (Julian Hamilton-Williams) a DJ and Producer joined in 2020, Livingstone Etse Satekla ( Stonebwoy) Afropop, Dancehall and Ragge artiste joined in 2021, Nana Yaw Boakye (MOG Music) a Gospel artiste and he joined in 2023, Rocky Dawuni who is an Afro Roots Singer, Songwriter and Producer ans he joined before 2015, Daniel Ayitta who is a Gospel Audio and Mix Engineer joined the academy in 2025 and Kofi Boachie-Ansah II, a Music Profession who joined the academy in 2024.
