A student has sparked widespread discussion online by firmly stating that she will never date someone who works as a teacher.
Consistently, this question keeps popping up in Vox Pops for diverse opinions, just like the one from this lady.
She was asked to point out one profession she would never date from, and she boldly stated that the teaching profession is a sector she will never date.

The Interviewer proceeded to ask for an explanation of the answer, and she replied that the salary of an average teacher is not up ¢1,000 (Thousand Cedis), which is a lie.
Sources reveal that the salaries of Ghanaian teachers range from ¢1,754 to ¢14,617. The Starting salary for most primary teachers currently ranges from ¢1,754 to ¢4,485, and after five years, the pay can increase, ranging from ¢2,524 to ¢6,819.
The starting salary for secondary school teachers in Ghana ranges from ¢2,585 to ¢5,252, and after 5 years, increases to ¢3,789 to ¢7,875.
In the Tertiary level, teachers receive ¢3,000 to ¢15,000 or above. The salary increases with time and experience, and with further education to upgrade their certificates.
Many people in Ghana regard the teaching profession as being underpaid and less respected. Though teacher salaries are not as high as those in some developed countries, teachers earn more than the figure the lady mentioned in her statement.
