The Former Deputy Executive of the National Service Authority, Gifty Oware-Mensah, appeared before the High Court of Accra, Criminal Division, to be tried.
The Attorney General of Ghana, Domic Ayine, slapped the former public officer with five criminal charges.
Today, October 22, 2025, Gifty appeared before the court of law and pleaded not guilty to all five counts against her.
According to the Attorney General, Miss Gifty was involved in stealing and transferring funds for National Service Personnel to her company.
She used her public office to gain profit from the stolen money between 2022 and 2024, resulting in financial loss to the state.
His Legal Counsel, Nanabanyin Ackon, asked the court to grant his client bail, and the conditions were laid out for him.
The Bail condition was ten million Ghana Cedis, ordered by Justice Audrey Kocuvie-Tay.

The conditions attached to Gifty’s bail were three sureties, of which 2 were to have landed properties worth the bail; they will have to provide their national identification cards, Ghana Card, and their residential address.
Gifty has been placed on a stop-list, which means she is not allowed to travel outside Ghana because her passport will be seized.
The prosecutor was ordered to provide disclosure by October 25, 2025, for the case management conference to commence.
