The Next NPP Gov’t Will Go After Sammy Gyamfi and Ibrahim Mahama – Lawyer Maurice Apaw

Former public officers and people responsible for a state fund at some point, when called for accountability in Ghana, are seen as a political witch hunt to pay back for what the ruling party endured while in opposition.

An ardent member of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Lawyer Maurice Apaw has cautioned the National Democratic Congress, NDC, that whatever they are doing today will be retaliated when they exit office.

The Lawyer claims President Mahama is bullying the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, Chairman Wontumi, after falsely accusing him of an unknown source of wealth.

According to Maurice, this energy will be given back to the members of the NDC, such as Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, head of the Ghana Gold Board, and Ibrahim Mahama, the founder of Engineers and Planners Company.
He stated that when there is a change of power in 2028, there will be serious allegations against Sammy Gyamfi and Ibrahim Mahama, President Mahama’s brother, and he cannot shield him as a former President.

On Wontumi FM, Maurice Ampaw emphasized that there will be no need to provide evidence for any allegation labels against the names above and any other NDC member.

He said they will just be stressing them out by forcing them to report to Court until they are satisfied.

The Lawyer blamed the people of the Ashanti Region for not protecting Chairman Wontumi, as he has been the key sufferer in the NPP since the NDC won power. He questioned why the people who are asking Wontumi to prove his source of wealth are not asking Ibrahim Mahama the same questions.
