Early Life
Trump was born on June 16, 1946, at Jamaica Hospital in the New York City borough of Queens as the fourth child to Fred Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod Trump. He is of German-Scottish descent, but most people are not aware of it.

His parents had four children aside from him, and they were Maryanne, Fred Jr., Elizabeth, and Robert(the only one Trump was older than).
The Trump family lived in a 23-room mansion in Jamaica Estates in the New York neighborhood of Queens. Fred used to pay his children $20,000 each, and that is equivalent to $273,501.91 in 2025. And at age eight, Donaldo was a millionaire in inflation-adjusted dollars.

He attended Kew-Forest School through seventh grade and later continued at New York Military Academy from eighth to twelfth grade. The academy pushed students into sports activities, so Trump tried football but later quit after a month.

The current US President enrolled at Fordham University in 1964. He participated in Reserve Officers’ Training Corps because he loved military work, and even attended class sometimes in military attire. He dropped out in his second year.

Family
Trump has 5 children with 3 different women he had affairs with. He married Ivana Zelnickova in 1977, and they had Donald Jr. (1977), Ivanka (1981), and Eric (1984). The marriage ended after Trump started seeing entertainer Marla Maples in 1990.
Marla Marples gave birth to Tiffany in 1993 during her affair with Trump, and she raised her in California.
They broke up, and Trump married Slovenian model, Melania Knauss, in 2005. She gave birth to Barron in 2006. They’ve been together to date.

Donald Trump’s political career started with drama as he registered as a Republican in Queens in 1969, and in Manhattan in 1987, he became a member of the Independence Party, the affiliate of the New York State Party of the Reform Party. In 1999
Trump joined the Democrats in 2001 and returned to the Republicans in 2009; he was unaffiliated in 2011 and returned to the Republicans in 2012.

Trump became the first American President who had never held any political office in his life.
He lost the 2020 elections to Joe Biden after a fierce contest. Biden won with 81.3 million votes, representing 51.3% and Trump had 74.2 million and 306 electoral votes to 232, respectively.
In 2024, Trump returned to the White House with a massive victory against Kamala Harris, Joben Biden’s Vice president, with 312 electoral votes to incumbent vice president Kamala Harris’s 226.
