As the chaos in the New Patriotic Party never ends ahead of their presidential primary to select a flagbearer who will lead the party to glory in 2028, Chairman Wontumi has vindicated one of the candidates, Keneddy Ohene Agyapong, on the radio after people accused him of sabotaging his party in the 2024 General elections.

Some people are with the notion that after the former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, won the primaries, Keneddy Agyapong sabotaged his campaign, and that caused the gangantuan defeat in the history of Ghana politics.
Keneddy tried on many occasions to convince the party members that he would never do such a thing, but it all fell on deaf ears.

Fast-forward to 2026, after the defeat in the 2024 general election, the party leadership has decided to select a new candidate to start selling him till 2028 for the person to gain more popularity.

- Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Former Vice President
- Keneddy Ohene Agyapong, Former MP for Assin Central
- Dr. Bryan Acheampong, MP for Abetifi and former Agric Minister
- Honorable Yaw Osei Adutwum, MP for Bosomtwe
- Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, Former General Secretary of the NPP
Some Party members are claiming the odd one in the list above is Mr. Ohene Agyapong due to certain utterances he has made in the past and his current campaign.
They suggest his statements are a threat to the partyโs future and even sabotaged Bawumia in 2024, causing the party its worst defeat.
Chairman Wontumi has debunked all the sabotaging rumours attached to Kenโs name.
According to the regional chairman, Ken loves the party so much, and that is why he supports it financially without expecting anything in return.
He urged all the party members to focus on who they like and stop focusing on the negative because Keneddy will never hurt the party.
