The United States of America has officially left the World Health Organisation after a 1-year deliberation.
The World Health Organisation is the largest umbrella for global health issues, and it has existed since April 7, 1948.

America’s action has left many speechless, as it was never expected.
According to verified sources, the US withdrawal process was initiated after President Donald Trump’s Executive Order on January 22, 2025.
Exactly one year after the notice, the US is no longer a member of the W.H.O.

America accused the organisation of several instances of misconduct that put all members in danger in the long run.
Firstly, the World Health Organisation failed to declare COVID-19 a global pandemic in 2020 when the world almost came to a standstill while waiting for their final say. This suggests that organisations were trying to avoid the creation of awareness about the pandemic.

America’s withdrawal was caused by its immense financial support, with little or nothing in return.
A report from the White House says they contribute 15-20% to the annual budget of the World Health Organization. That is quite unfair from their perspective as a country.
Influence from Countries like China is another reason why Trump’s America left. They claim the leaders of the organisation’s decisions are easily manipulated and influenced by China, and that is mostly to the disadvantage of the other members.
Another reason for America’s exit is that there’s no transparency in their activities, which makes them doubt their actions as a body.
