Bank Of Ghana Warns Public To Stop Using Cedi Notes For Bouquets

The Governor of Ghana’s Central Bank, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, has warned the general public against using the Cedi for bouquets.

As a sign of love and reaffirmation of one’s commitment to a romantic relationship, flower bouquets were the symbolic tool for this gesture.

This new generation has gradually wiped away this sign of love after they replaced roses with legal tender.

Especially in Africa, where most women have constantly hammered the point that money is a pillar for strong love in their opinion, so roses are now extinct in relationships.

Artisans in Ghana are now shaping Cedi notes into flowers to form bouquets after customers order them.

They use the smallest denomination to the highest for the creation of a bouquet, which is later delivered to people on their birthdays, weddings, happy moments, and also on Valentine’s Day.

When it started, Ghanaians were calling on the authorities take action, and now people are getting the response they’ve been yearning for.

The Bank of Ghana Governor has finally made a bold statement and exercised the state’s displeasure with how people are using the Cedi, which should be treated with maximum respect for mere decorations.

People who are in the money bouquet business are currently unhappy as they claim the Central Bank authorities are trying to make them jobless without any valid reason.

According to Dr. Johnson, it is illegal to use the Cedi note, which is a state property, and the offender can be prosecuted.

Now the public anticipates what the Bank of Ghana will do to offenders who will prove stubborn by using the Cedi note as a bouquet or decoration during Valentine’s Day, where lovers will exchange gifts.
