Chairman Wontumi Apologises For All His Statements Against John Mahama

Benard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontum, has apologised to President John Dramani Mahama for every utterance he has made against him in the past.

Before the 2024 election, when the National Democratic Congress, NDC, had been in Opposition for 8 years, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Chairman Wontumi, made different image-tarnishing statements against the current President (who was in opposition) in his campaign.

Unfortunately for Wontumi, his party lost the 2024 election after 8 years in power.

The Party Chairman in the Ashanti Region is currently battling different court cases for some actions he took in the party.

A key factor in his legal battle is his involvement in mining at different forest reserves illegally.

His sympathisers describe the action of the government as a “political witch hunt” where politicians hunt their loud opponents without any valid reason.

In their opinion, Wontumi has done nothing wrong to be subjected to such torture.

After deep reflection, Chairman Wontumi, in his recent interview, has disclosed that he made some statements which were for the heat of the moment of the campaign season, but unfortunately ended up defaming the then flagbearer of the NDC (now President Mahama).

Wontumi says he regrets his action and is not above correction and advice, so the President should pardon him.

• John Mahama is afraid of me because I control Politics in the Ashanti Region.
• Mahama’s wife is refusing to campaign for him because he is having a secret affair with their maid.
• Mahama is covering his shame with his adopted daughter (Farida Mahama), and if he doesn’t take care, a man will do something bad to her.
• Wontumi attacked the then running mate for NDC (now Vice President), Jana Nana Opoku Agyemang, and said her face depicts a witch and looks extremely wicked.
