According to the family head, Kofi Owusu, on the other hand, says there is a well-planned event for the legend, so no one should worry, but that doesn’t sit well with one of the musician’s sisters, Ernestina Fosu, popularly known as Akosua Bempomaa, who has been moving from one court to another seeking an injunction.

The Plaintiff wanted the Accra High Court to order Transition Funeral Home to retain custody of Daddy Lumba’s body and also sought to freeze Daddy Lumba Memorial Foundation’s account, which is used by the family head for the funeral expenses.
After ruling on December 12, 2025, the supposed funeral on December 13 is set to be postponed as the body of the legend will not be available for mourning.
The Court has ordered the defendant, Kofi Owusu, to sit with the immediate family of the deceased to solve their differences because they reportedly said they have been sidelined after they demanded an autopsy of their brother for the family to have a proper closure.
