“Dancegod is good but he keeps repeating same moves” – Slim Buster

Legendary Ghanaian musician, Slim Buster, has thrown a jab at Dancegod Lloyd, who is a great dancer, but he repeats most of his moves.
The legendary musician said this during the Prime Morning show on Joy Prime TV.

According to Slim Buster, the life span of a dancer in the entertainment industry is very short, and so if the current dancers don’t add something unique to their dance, they will fade sooner than they think.

Slim Buster is one of the Pioneers who introduced dance in music videos, and it has stayed in the industry to date.

He used Dancegod Lloyd as an example and said he is a very good talent, but he keeps repeating his old moves, and with that, the future doesn’t look bright for him.

The Legend emphasised that this is his sole opinion and from his point of view, the new crop of dancers risk fading if they don’t add different things to the dance to make them unique and stay in the entertainment industry for long.

Dancegod Lloyd, one of the leaders of the new school of dancers, is yet to respond to this statement, but people who appreciate his work have started speaking for him by pulling videos of Slim Buster in his prime, when he used to dance in his music videos.

Dancegod is one of the reasons why parents allow their kids to dance in Ghana, because at first, parents thought their children couldn’t earn a living with dance. The stereotyped image for dancers is that they’re reckless and wayward, but Dancegod has changed that narrative after going international and working with Global Icons Like Beyonce, Shatta Wale, and King Promise.

People who watched most of Slim Buster’s music videos claim he was also repeating most of his moves by spamming moves synchronizing with the beat’s rhythm, so he should learn to appreciate the new generation and criticise constructively without being mean.

Dancegod, Incredible Zigi, Edurance, and Afronitaaa are all dancers who have positively shaped the entertainment industry. Now every musician seeks the services of this new generation of dancers to create dance challenges for newly released songs to trend and top charts.
