Nigerian Aliko Dangote has been named by Forbes and Bloomberg as the richest black man on earth at the moment.
According to Forbes 2025 billionaire rankings, Nigerian industrial magnate and founder of Dangote Group, continues to hold the title of the world’s richest Black person.

Dangote achieved the feat when his fortune surged thanks to his sprawling business empire across Africa.
Dangote’s Dangote Refinery is Africa’s largest oil refinery and plays a vital role in his wealth as it doubled his overall wealth in 2024 alone.

He dominates other Black businessmen and billionaires like David Steward and Nigeria’s Mike Adenuga.
David Steward is also the richest Black American with a total net worth of $12.4 billion.
