Daughter of South Africa’s ex-president, Jacob Zuma to be King Mswati III’s 16th wife

Nomcebo Zuma, daughter of former president of South Africa, Jacob Zuma is reportedly set to marry Eswatini King as his 16th wife.

In a post by the guardian, the former president’s daughter is 21 years old and will be given to this king who is currently 56 years old.

The Eswatini kind is said to have “led Africa’s last absolute monarchy since taking power in 1986 and has been criticised for his lavish lifestyle while most of the population lives in poverty.”

Reports indicate that, the king and Zuma’s daughter are already engaged following a traditional ceremony where Zuma’s daughter and other girls danced for the monarch.

The engagement ceremony was held at “the Ludzidzini royal village in Lobamba” and thousands of people were there to grace the occasion.

King Mswati, known for being polygamous is said to have a history of taking brides who are below 18 years. He made headlines somewhere in 2005 over his marriage to a 17 year old girl as his 13th wife.
