Director of Police Operations reveal criminals are trying to take advantage of Agbogbloshie relocation exercise

The Director of Operations at the Ghana Police service ACP Kwasi Ofori has raised concerns about the relocation situation at Agbogbloshie, a suburb of Accra.

There is an ongoing decongestion exercise that involves moving of Onion Traders and Scrap dealers at the Agbogbloshie market to a different location.

What started as a peaceful exercise became a battle of gunshots between them and the police after scrap dealers tried to resist their relocation despite the Onion traders moving to their new site without causing any problems.

In another development, ACP Kwasi Ofori while speaking in an interview with Joy News revealed some criminals are trying to take advantage of the exercise to robb Market women remaining in the area.

Police personnels are therefore deployed to guide the place to avoid any criminal activities happening at the location.
