A passionate football fan who moved all the way from DR Congo to support his country at the African Cup of Nations, AFCON 2025, in Morocco had a great shock after his country got knocked out.
He stood throughout the full ninety minutes of all the matches Congo played during their time in the tournament to honour one of Africa’s freedom fighter, Patrice Lumumba.

When he started, people expected him to get tired after match day one, but he stood during all the three group stage matches and also the Round of 16 matches.
Congo started their campaign with a 1-0 win against Benin, with Bongonda running a one-man show.
They drew 1-1, Bakambu and Sadio Mane being the goal scorers.
Bostwana was the last group stage match for Congo, and they came out with three goals, where Kakuta bagged a brace, and Mbuku scored one.

Going into the Round of Sixteen, DR Congo were confident of defeating Algeria, but unfortunately, after an intense 120 minutes, Boulbina scored the single goal in the 119th minute of the game.

After the goal, the passionate fan of DR Congo cried and collapsed even before the match ended.
