Edem’s first album gave birth to my Career – DJ Mic Smith reveals


Renowned Ghanaian Disc Jokey, Michael Owusu known as DJ Mic Smith reveals how Edem played a part in his dream to become a DJ.

Nicknamed by his fans as ‘The Shut Down King’, DJ Mic Smith’s journey to becoming whom he is today in the show business came after Legendary Rapper Edem (formerly of Ayigbe Edem) dropped his first studio album.

“Lol @iamedem your first album gave birth to my dj career in a way….u dey Kai?” The DJ wrote

His revelation is a clear indication that things begin to hit up for him back in 2009 when Edem released his album dubbed The Volta Regime.

Edem dropped an incredible 25 track list album during his days with the Last Two Music Group and name it after his Region to send a clear warning to the masses.

Arguably his best song ever, You Dey Craze off the album was a Street Anthem even in some parts of the country today.

DJ Mic Smith is now one of the most sort after DJs available in the country And beyond with multiple awards to his name.
