The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, has made a shocking statement on Adom FM.
Chairman Wontumi has disclosed that the Economic and Organised Crime Office, EOCO, has seized 15 of his luxurious rides, which include his Rolls-Royce, Bentley, V8, and 12 other expensive cars.

During a phone-in session on Dwaso Nsem on Adom 106.3 fm, based in Accra, he revealed that he acquired all his cars legally and purchased from a licensed car dealer at Assylum Down, near NPP Party office, so he doesn’t understand why his cars are not with him but he uncomfortable talking about it, so he’ll leave everything to the Most High.

Before the Seizure of these Luxurious cars, Wontumi was arrested and kept in the custody of EOCO on May 27, 2025.
He was kept in the custody for almost a week after he was charged with engaging in Money Laundering, encroaching forest reserves for illegal mining, polluting water bodies, and causing financial loss to the state during the second tenure of the New Patriotic Party from 2020 to 2024 under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudud Bawumia.
He was granted bail with 50 million Ghana Cedis and 2 sureties.
The EOCO is yet to make a statement about seized cars, but the alleged news is that the cars might be involved in the stolen cars saga.
