Fireboy Biography


Adedamola Adefolahan professionally known as Fireboy DML is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He was born on the 5th of February 1996.

He is currently signed onto YBNL owned by Olamide who himself is a musician.

Fireboy grew up in Abeokuta he had both his primary and secondary school education there. To further his education, he went to the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Fireboy DML read Bachelor’s in English and graduated in 2017 after earning a Bachelor in Arts (BA).

After graduating from the university, he began his music career by releasing his debut single “Jealous” in 2018.

However, on the 14th of June 2019, Fireboy DML released another romantic hot single titled “What If I Say”.

He went ahead to release a studio album dubbed Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps on the 29thof November 2019.

The album was initially scheduled for its release on 25 November 2019 but was delayed by 4days The songs on the album is a combination of R&B tunes and tracks which speaks about love and social issues.

In all, The album comprises 13 tracks with no features no guest artist. It received a good play on Spotify with over 6 million streams.
