Former UK ambassador to Ghana and currently UK ambassador to Mexico, Jon Benjamin has reportedly been sacked from his position after a video showed he pointed a r!fle at a staff.

The incident is said to have happened in April during an official trip to Durango and Sinaloa. The ambassador, in a joking manner pointed the we@pon right in the face of a staff who was in the same vehicle with him.
After the video made its way to the internet, the UK Foreign Office took the appropriate measures and on Friday, May, 31, it was reported that Benjamin has been removed from office.

A current look at Benjamin’s LinkedIn page reveals he ended his ambassadorial in May 2024, and his biography on the UK government website addresses his position in the past. It says, “he was UK Ambassador to Mexico between 2021 and 2024.”
