Ghana Police arrested a woman who stole a newborn baby at the Mamprobi Polyclinic.
A new mother almost had a heart attack at the Mamprobi Polyclinic after noticing her newborn baby was not with her for a few moments after delivery.
This issue raised eyebrows and drastically reduced the trust people have in government hospitals in Ghana.
Stealing of babies has been rampant, but unfortunately, there has been no vivid evidence to crack down on them.

Relatives and sympathisers of the new stormed the hospital premises, demanding accountability for the lost child.
They sought the CCTV footage to know what transpired before, during, and after the delivery of the baby.
The hospital camera captured a woman sneaking out of the premises with something wrapped in her arms.
Early reports indicate she stole the baby for reasons known to her alone.

The Dansoman branch of the Ghana Police Service took swift action and located the stealer in a few minutes.
Calmness has been restored, but the people demand justice and accountability from the hospital authorities for allowing such a heinous crime happen under their noses.

Some people suggest the stealer did not plan this alone but was rather assisted by a hospital official to carry out this mission.
The Dansoman police will commence an investigation for more information.
