The Ghanaian boxing fraternity woke up to one of the saddest news ever this morning after the death of one of their own.
Ghanaian boxer Ernest Akushey known in the ring as Bahubali has passed on at the age of 32.

Bahubali died in the early hours of Tuesday. His time of death is stated to be around 2 a.m.
His death comes just 11 days after taking a brutal beating from Jacob Dickson in a super middleweight bout that went viral.

The fight ended in a round-8 TKO, with Dickson landing heavy blows that left Bahubali wobbling and fans worried even then.
He started complaining of symptoms the next day, things got worse overnight but nothing was heard of it again.

Although no official cause of death has been named yet, some believe it could be a result of internal bleeding from the fight.
Before his defeat to Dickson, Bahubali had a 6-0 winning streak. He trained at Wadada Gym. He was managed and promoted by former boxer Ayittey Powers.
