A heated conversation has sparked among gospel music lovers in Ghana, and it continues to gain momentum as it intensifies.

The music industry is boring without comparisons, so an account on X(formerly known as Twitter) posted the two giants in Ghana music history, Sonnie Badu and Esther Smith, with the caption “Hit for hit. Who are you going for? Sonnie Badu / Esther Smith”.

The post got outrageous engagements, as people countered others’ opinions, some spitting out facts to support their favorites.

People regard Esther Smith as the the greatest female gospel musician to ever grace the mic in Ghana, said it’d be disrespectful for any random person to compare her to Sonnie Badu.
