Herbalist arrested for reportedly def’ling 17-year-old girl client
Samson Ogundele, a herbalist, was detained by Ogun state police officers for reportedly having illicit carnal knowledge of a young girl who visited his home for advice.
The victim reported that she is an apprentice hairdresser and that N1,000 went missing from their shop, prompting all nine apprentices to consult a herbalist to determine who should split the money among them. The victim then filed a report at the Oja Odan divisional headquarters that led to the suspect’s arrest.
He started calling them into a room one by one as soon as he arrived at the herbalist after receiving N700 from each of them. The complainant added that after the first and second people entered and exited, it was her turn to enter, at which point the herbalist attempted to [email protected] her.
Following her allegation, CSP Gabriel Ikechukwu of the DPO Oja odan division assigned his detectives to track down the culprit, who was later taken into custody. One of the females, who is 17 years old, confessed to the herbalist’s knowledge of her when she first met him in the consulting room while they were questioning him. She continued by saying that the herbalist threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident to anybody.
The girl had been def’led, it was determined when the victim was rushed right away to General Hospital Oja Odan. The state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the occurrence and claimed that the herbalist had admitted to committing the crime.
