I wish Nana Akomeah will be shot dead; Kelvin Taylor descends on Nana Akomeah


Kelvin Baidoo Ekow Taylor, Ghana’s video blogger has warned Nana Akomeah for making what he described as a reckless statement

He was known widely as a social activist who used Facebook to advocate for development in the Ejura municipality.

While the Police continue to pursue his killers, we uncover the man popularly called Kaaka, what he stood for, and how his quest to fix the country earned him friends and foes at the same time.

Saaka, 45, a resident of Ejura in the Ashanti Region according to police report was attacked by one Baba Iddi, his brother on 26th June, 2021. His death is not in connection to the recent #fixthecountry social media activism.

According to the Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mr Godwin Ahianyo, the suspects laid ambush in front of the house of the deceased and attacked him when he returned home from town.

He died on Monday afternoon, June 28, 2021 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi where he was receiving treatment.The public equiry is aimed at unraveling circumstances surrounding his death.

The above assertions by the police contradicts eyewitnesses account and events leading to his death. It is however, reported that two bodyguards of the MCE were behind his killings.

Fast forward, a discussion on Metro TV morning show witnessed the presence of Nana Akomeah a staunch supporter and leading member of the New Patriotic Party with another panelist.

The host Randy Abbey in explaining the circumstances that led to Kaaka’s death and the demonstration, stated that the demonstrators were angry at his death not because of his involvement in fix the country or not.

Nana Akomeah responded by saying” so they were demonstrating at his mere death.” This shocking statement has angered a lot of people including Ghana‘s video blogger kelvin Taylor who is based on the United States.

He posited on his live program show dubbed with all due respect that “Nana Akomeah’s statement is irresponsible and unwise. Why describe such sensitive killing as mere, I wish you would be shot dead and your family would understand what it means to be shot.”
