KNUST graduate myst£riously loses her life whiles with her boss in a hotel for work


Lois Abena Koranteng, a 2022 KNUST Petroleum Engineering graduate was found dead inside ChrisLord Palace Hotel’s swimming pool where she had lodged for the night with her boss and their driver.

The trio went for a business trip and checked into separate rooms at the hotel which is in Takoradi in the Western Region on Friday, June 7, 2024 to pass the night. At dawn on Saturday, June 8, Lois was found unconscious in the swimming pool wearing only a bikini by a staff of the hotel.

An Alarm was raised and she was quickly taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival (DOA). According to reports, the incident was immediately reported to the police.

The police took over the case and upon examination of the body, the medical team and the police found no blood stains or cuts on any part of her body.

Authorities tried to retrieve evidence from the hotel’s CCTV and the management of the hotel claimed their CCTV cameras were not functioning, thus they could not provide footage.

According to the brother of the deceased who took to Facebook to share the story, he wrote, “My lil sis checked in @chrislordpalacehotel in Anaji, Takoradi on 7th June 2024 with her boss and company driver.”

“She was murdered n dumped into the hotel’s swimming pool at dawn on 8th June 2024. The police aren’t telling the family anything not even an arrest.”

“Hotel claims CCTV isn’t functioning. We seek #justice for Lois Abena Koranteng (A 24yr petroleum engineering graduate of KNUST) #justiceforlois.”

The body has since been deposited in the morgue and investigations are still ongoing to get to the bottom of the incident.
