Kofi Kinaata makes history, wins his fourth VGMA ‘Songwriter of the year’.

Kofi Kinaata has claimed another songwriter award at the VGMA making him the most awarded songwriter.

Ghanaian Fante rapper Martin King Arthur, popularly known as Kofi Kinaata has for the fourth time, claimed the VGMA songwriter of the year.

Kinaata beat of tight competition to win the award at the just ended first day of the 22nd edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).

As it stands, the ‘Susuka’ hit maker is by so far the only musician in Ghana to have won the songwriter category four times since the award scheme was established.

2016 was when he bagged his first songwriter of the year in the VGMA, followed by the next year 2017.

In 2018, the late Ebony took over as King Promise also claimed it in 2019.

The prolific lyricist, Kofi Kinaata has bounced back on his feet in last year and this year’s VGMA award by making history as the most awarded songwriter in Ghana.
