The Law is there for people to test it, and sanity to prevail, so a young lady has reported a Twitter Influencer at the Ghana Police Headquarters this afternoon.
X, formerly known as Twitter, is a very space where most users troll popular people for the small mistakes they make, and sometimes they troll unprovoked.

A Certain video of a lady in a her room using water on her body was trending, it was blurry and identifying the individual was quite difficult but according to Albert Nat Hyde, also known as Bongo Ideas, X user identified at @Ruf_ayi (70,000 followers) has been reportered to the Ghana Police Headquaters by a lady called Borteley known on timeline as @Borqs for sharing her private videos with the general public.

According to Ghana’s 1992 Constitution, Cybercrime Act, 2020 ( Act 1036), an individual who shares a person’s private videos with the person’s consent is in breach of the person’s privacy and could face 10-25 years in prison.
The young man has apologized for his actions, but it is up to the lady to withdraw the case from the Ghana Police Headquarters.
Even after apologizing, the young person is going about making jokes about the situation, but the Borteley is yet to respond to RuF_Ayi’s public apology.
People are dragging Bongo for sharing this information because he is just a pot calling the kettle black, as he has tarnished popular figures’ images with his posts on social media.

Some Ghanaians are not even aware that there’s a part of the Constitution that protects people’s privacy because the internet has become an avenue where they share private videos of people and laugh about it.
If the lady decides to proceed with the case, it will serve as a deterrent for Ghanaian internet users.
