President John Mahama in New York for the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
A Facebook user has expressed his concerns regarding the dressing of the president of Ghana at international events.

The concerns drew from the Presidents recent outfit at the ongoing United Nations General Assembly in the US.
The president attended a summit for African countries, a side event organized by the United Nations where he wore a local designed outfit.

According to the Facebook user, the president was looking “too ordinary” than he should be for someone representing the state.
He wrote on Facebook, “I have serious concern with the President’s dress code at the world stage. I know they will come and insult me, but lets have a second look at this.
He is representing Ghana at the world stage and he cannot represent “The Republic of Ghana” looking too ordinary. Ahhh well!”

The post has since faced several criticisms. People are calling him out for focusing on the president’s dressing.

One user alleged that world leaders don’t focus on dressing and neither should he. Others also resorted to insults as they defended the president’s dressing.
On Monday, the president participated in a high-level meeting of Heads of State and Government convened.
