Maurizo Sarri admits he made a huge mistake abandoning Chelsea for Juventus
Former Chelsea Coach Maurizio Sarri has describe his departure from the Blues as Sensational Mistake.
Sarri was appointed by Chelsea football club in 2018 following some good performance with Napoli where they came close to snatching the title from Juventus.
After beginning the 2018/2019 season on fire, Chelsea collapsed just at the middle of the seas casting doubts on Sarri’s future even before the season came to an end.
Despite finishing the season out of the top four, Sarri guide his side all the way to the Europa League finals and beat City rivals Arsenal to the title thereby confirming Chelsea’s participation in next season’s Champions League through the back door.
That was Sarri’s first major trophy in his managerial career but wasn’t enough to convince him to stay for another season and head straight home to take a very challenging job in Turin.
Chelsea regrouped and went on to win the Champions league two years after Sarri’s departure while Sarri last only a season with Juventus.
According to tvdellosport, Sarri has regretted swapping London for Turin when he had Abramovic’s full backing to stay for another year with Chelsea.
Sarri also spoke critically about the current Chelsea squad claiming the signing of young talents like Ziyech, Werner and Havertz are suitable for him to produce some magics at Stamford Bridge.
“At Chelsea I made a sensational mistake of wanting to return to Italy at all costs. Chelsea are a great club, in the following years they have taken many young people suitable for me, Werner, Havertz, Mount, Ziyech: all suited to me and my way of playing” Sarri said
