The ousted President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, made his first appearance in court today, January 5, 2025, to challenge the charges against him in the United States of America.
Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were captured barely 3 days into 2026 by America’s Army around 2:00 AM while they were asleep.

According to President Trump, Nicolas is a dictator and a “drug lord” who wanted to leverage his position as the President to expand his drug territory across the world.
He was airlifted to America to face the law for the charges below.

The first charge against Maduro is about his engaging with terrorist groups such as the FARC to traffic cocaine.

The charges above are against him for reportedly running “Cartel De Los Soles” as his channel for his Drug business.
Reports indicate that for a very long time, Maduro had machine guns and other destructive devices in his possession.
Nicolas Maduro appeared before the Manhattan federal court, where U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein presided over his case.

After the first sitting since his indictment, Nicolas Maduro pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him.
He was denied bail, and the case was adjourned by Hellerstein, the senior judge in the Southern District of New York, who also set the next hearing for March 17, 2026.
