A Nigerian content creator has gone after his country’s biggest football icon at the moment, Victor Osimhen, for spending billions on a mansion in Nigeria.
According to this TikToker, he cannot fathom why the footballer would spend a gigantic amount on a house he won’t even reside in for months due to his career.
Footballers are known for living a flamboyant lifestyle, and Victor’s own is no exception.
Athletes don’t get time to squander the wealth they’re amassing because training and matches keep them busy, they who season, and so the only time they get to enjoy luxury is during international break or when the season is over.
The acclaimed financial expert cited Afrobeat Superstar, Burna Boy, as an example for Osimhen to follow by giving back to the community.
He has urged the Galatasaray forward to return the house keys for his 3 billion Naira and a house that is worth less than 100 million Naira to save money for philanthropic works.
As the content creator chastised the former Napoli forward, he made it clear to him that the government of Nigeria is not helping the poor masses who put them there, so their only hope is the people in the society.
The TikToker advised the skipper to establish factories to employ his people in his hometown and Nigeria at large, because there is no need to spend lavishly, while his people perish due to poor governance.
Nigerians have been divided by the opinion of the internet user, as a few agree with what he said.
The majority are also criticising him for the sense of entitlement.

People who disagreed with whatever he said believe that well-to-do people must not be forced to help people because it is their hard-earned money.
