Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, professionally known as Olamide who was born to Mr. and Mrs. Adedeji is a Nigerian hip-hop recording artist. He is from the Yoruba tribe and he sings in Yoruba and English.


He was born on the 15th of March in Bariga, Lagos State, Nigeria in the Year 1989
He will be 32 years in June 2021

He is the second child of three children of his parents
The mother, Mrs. Ronke Osisanya Adeleji (Deceased ) is the second wife of his father Mr. Adeleji,
Olamide has two siblings, Temmygold and Eniola Olamilekan (DJ Enimoney)


He attended Tai Solarin University Of Education, Ijebu-Ode has revealed on several occasions that he dropped out of school since his father was not able to fund his tertiary education


His interest in music started in his teenage years in the 2000s, where he released his first song titled “Omo To Shan” in 2011
The song became a hit, and Olamide performed at the Hip Hop World Awards (later renamed the Headies) in 2010.

After the hits song, he was signed to ID Cabasas Coded Tunes record label and was managed by Toni Payne in 2012

He then stopped working with the label and started his record lab “YBNL NATION”

He released his first debut studio album Rapsodi while signed to Coded Tunes. YBNL, his album, was released under his label imprint YBNL Nation
The album was nominated for Best Rap Album at the Headies in 2012

Olamide was also the first Nigerian celebrity to sign an endorsement deal with Ciroc.


Olamide Gbenga Adedeji is married to Adebukunmi Aisha Suleiman. They have two boys together.
