Contrary to earlier report that Arsenal Midfielder and Ghanaian Star Boy Thomas Partey was sacked by black stars Coach CK Akonnor, a Source within Partey’s camp suggest the claims were false.
Instead, the player requested that he will not be available for the friendly games for Ghana and his request was granted by the coach.
Sports Journalist Chris Wheatley and reporter for Arsenal football club clarified that Partey rather asked for permission which the coach granted and was never sacked.
Thomas Partey was granted permission to miss Ghana’s friendly games against Morocco and Ivory Coast.

Ghanaian journalist Nana Aba Anamoah also confirmed she made calls with Partey and he admitted he wasn’t sacked but asked for permission.

He says he wasn’t sacked by C.K Akunor from the BlackStars camp as is being speculated by some Sports Journalists.
He sought permission to be excused and that was granted.
