Rema donates over N100 million to a church to show appreciation

Calm down hit maker, Rema has warmed hearts with his kind gesture after he donated N100 million in total to a church in Benin, Nigeria.

The main purpose of the donation was to appreciate the church for helping his mum by opening a shop for her when he lost his dad.

Whiles announcing his donations for various projects in front of the congregation, he made it clear that he was there to show appreciation and not chase clout.

He said, “I’m not here to give myself an accolade or anything. I’m here to give God the glory. I feel like it’s important to give back cos the church has embraced me, prayed for me..”

“Firstly, I wanna give a pledge of N14 million to the construction of the church. To the infrastructure of the church, I want to pledge N20 million to Rapsody of Realites.”

Being the fact that I came from the teens church, I also wanna pledge N25 million for the infrastructure of the teens church.”

“When I was 8 years, when I lost my dad, we felt very lost, we felt very abandoned, all we had was taken from us and we felt very alone. I remember..they opened a shop for my mum, that is what she manged to take care of us, feed us.”
