The Maiden edition of Rapperholic in Kumasi took place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, September 28, 2025, where rain nearly destroyed everything, but the die-hard fans stayed.
People who were ready to experience the likes of Shatta Wale, Medikal, Gyakie, Asakaa Boys, Lalid, and other amazing talents for the first time did not want he rain to stop them.

Around 4 PM, it started drizzling in many parts of Kumasi, Ashanti Region. This made people doubt if the show would happen.
As time passed, the drizzle intensified and graduated into rain, but that didn’t stop people from following the proper process to enter the venue and waiting till the rain ceased, which eventually did around 10:30 PM.

The show commenced, and artists like Kofi Kinaata, Shatta, and Medikal, alongside Obrafuor and Efya, graced the event with their amazing vocals to ignite the atmosphere and thrill the fans.
Before the event started, some expected audience members left the event center because their clothes were wet, and some got cold from the heavy rain. Those who couldn’t get a shelter when it started raining also went home, but that still didn’t ruin the party.
As of 6:00 AM on Sunday, September 29, 2025, Sarkodie apologised for the natural occurrence (rain), which almost ruined the live experience, and promised them another mega show because they stayed with him through a tough time like this.
He affirmed that there are people who focus on the negative side of the show, but the audience should not worry about that and focus on the positive side.
