They followed tens of thousands of men and collected self-reported data on how often they ejaculated (through intercourse, masturbation, nocturnal emission) at different life stages.

In that study, men who reported ejaculating 21 or more per month had a statistically lower risk of prostate cancer than those who averaged 4 to 7 ejaculations per month.

Additional studies, including from Australia, observed similar trends: more frequent ejaculation in younger adulthood appeared associated with lower prostate cancer later in life.

Other studies also found that by ejaculating often, the prostateโ€™s ducts may flush out harmful substances or carcinogens that might accumulate.

Again, frequent release might alter metabolic pathways or reduce the formation of prostatic intraluminal crystals โ€” both implicated in cancer initiation.

Last but not least, frequent sexual activity may be a marker of better overall health, lower stress, or healthier lifestyles, all of which also reduce cancer risk.

Medical and urology experts generally describe the findings as โ€œintriguing but inconclusive.โ€ They claim ejaculating 21 times/month will guarantee prostate protection.

Men should continue with recommended screenings and lifestyle measures, not rely solely on sexual frequency.
