“Strategic way of begging, na Aden woni manager anaaa” – reactions as Mabel Okyere complains of singing gospel music 10 years without a car

A viral video on TikTok has seen Ghanaian gospel musician Mabel Okyere in church complaining about singing gospel music for ten (10) years and yet does not own a car.

Mabel Okyere, while performing at a church, paused to complain that she still depends on trotro even though she is a celebrity.

She lamented that even after the release of her song titled ‘3ha y3 kwan ho’ she took a trotro only to be met with the surprise of other passengers on board singing the song to her as they saw her.

She revealed that, she felt bad and decided to dropoff the trotro as the other passengers even offered to pay for her.

“I have been singing for 10 years now but everytime I still pick trotro. Even when I released ‘3ha y3 kwan ho’, when the song was all over the Internet and everyone was singing, I picked a trotro when I was hurriedly going somewhere. All I saw was two ladies at the backseat of the trotro as they started singing the 3ha y3 kwan ho’ song when they saw me in the trotro…”

She claims that she wanting to own a car is not because of pride but would encourage others looking at how far she has come as a gospel musician.

@Don also commented: it’s life, it’s a process. when the time is right you’ll get your car. until then, enjoy your trotro with all humility.

@Rev_Noble🦅🦅🦅:People should understand this, the fact that you’re singing and people love it doesn’t make you crave for what you can’t afford. May God help us all.
