Swansea City confirm the departure of Andre Ayew

-Captain of the Ghana Black Stars, Andre Dede Ayew has left Swansea City after failed promotion ambition.

-The club was hoping to keep their star man if they made it to the Premiere League in oder to afford his wages but their union has ended.

-It is not known where Andre will be heading to but his quality is a strong statement he could be heading back to a team playing in the Premiership.

Andre Ayew spearheaded Swansea’s promotion chase by scoring 17 goals and 4 assists in the Championship season to help his side into the top 6 and qualify for the play-off.

Ayew’s first day at Swansea

The swans fought hard to get into the final after overcoming Barnsley with Ayew netting the only goal in the first leg but things didn’t go as planned when they got to Wembley.

They lost 2-0 to Brentford which means they will have to spend another season in the Championship, No doubt Ayew’s quality is way above such level of football and his wages are equivalent to that if a Top flight player putting the club in some financial decisions.

An update on the Welsh club’s official page has some gallery of their assistant captain including his first day at their training ground alongside the caption “Where it all started”.

The meaning of the post became clearer when another caption stated “Thank You Ayew” which is a confirmation of his departure.
