Some Nigerian youth have protested against Donald Trump’s government for ordering the US Army to capture President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores.
On January 3, 2026, around 2:00 AM in Venezuela, America’s Army crept in and captured their President and wife for reportedly engaging in the transportation of narcotics into the US.

Targeted locations included La Carlota airport, where the US army blasted a drug-loading dock linked to the Tren de Aragua gang during Operation Southern Spear, which was launched by Trump in late 2025.
Trump has received both global criticisms and applause for his actions. Some Venezuelans outside their homeland are happy for these actions as they claim Maduro is a dictator and a drug Lord.

Critics are also coming from people who see America’s actions as imperialist.
The group named “Venezuela Solidarity Campaign in Nigeria” with the motto “Venezuela is not a threat, it’s Hope” has today, January 4, 2026, staged a protest against Donald Trump for taking this action against a sovereign state without a tangible reason.
Leaders of the group emphasised that the American government does not care about the welfare of the Venezuelan citizens, but they are in the country for their selfish reasons.

During their solidarity speech, one member stated that America doing this in Venezuela is no news because they’ve done this in Libya during Gaddafi’s regime, Syria, and Afghanistan.
It was revealed during their presser that the US Government has noticed Venezuela is sitting on one of the largest portions of land with Oil, so they are there to ruin and take over their Oil fields, but they had to create a scene to confuse the world.

They called on the world to speak to President Trump to stop his Imperial behaviour because he is starting a war where there is none.
