Samuel Takyi, a boxer representing Ghana at the ongoing Olympics tournament held in Tokyo has qualified to the next stage of the competition.
The 20 year old Boxer is competing in the men featherweight boxing category and has now qualified to the quarterfinals finals of the competition hoping to land some medal for mother Ghana.
Sakyi met Ecuador’s Caicedo Pachito Jean Carlos in an even encounter that both of them failed to deliver a knockout punch.
The Ghanaian was then declared winner of the bout via an unanimous decision.
Having only few representatives at the ongoing competition, The entire nation will be counting on Takyi to make them proud with some medals.
