President Donald Trump has declared Nigeria a “Country of Particular Concern” due to the recent killings of Christians across the country.
“Country of Particular Concern (CPC) is a designation made under U.S. laws on international religious freedom.

It is given to countries judged to have engaged in or tolerated “particularly severe violations of religious freedom”.
The law allows Washington to take diplomatic or economic action against countries accused of severe violations of religious rights.

“I am hereby making Nigeria a “COUNTRY OF PARTICULAR CONCERN”” he declared on his statement on TruthSocial.
Trump also vowed to do whatever the USA can to protect Christians in Nigeria and around the world as they cannot sit back and watch the horror unfold.

“We stand ready, willing, and able to save our Great Christian population around the World!” Trump concluded his post.
For the past few months, more than a thousand Christians in Nigeria have lost their lives at the hands of Islamists.

Christians are being slaughtered and churches are being burned. The government has however failed to take any action.
