According to Mahalia, she was receiving messages from an unknown person on Snapchat, a blackmailer who was trying to extort money from her after following her for some time.
She explained that the account kept texting her for a while, and she ignored it for some time to avoid losing her account, where

Mahalia, in her narration, stated that she received an email from Snapchat one day stating that her password had been changed.
This came as a surprise to her because she never initiated a process for a password change.
She sent numerous messages to Snapchat via email to retrieve her hacked account, but all the efforts were to no avail.
