Venezuelan military representatives have strongly condemned the United States’ recent military operation that resulted in the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife.
According to them, the operation was unlawful and they are demanding their immediate release.

Venezuelan military and defence officials appeared on state media to describe Maduro’s removal as an “abduction” by U.S. forces.
They explained that Maduro is the official President of Venezuela, chosen by the people through an official election.

They accused the United States of acting with “colonialist ambition” against a sovereign nation.
They also warned that the incident represents a serious violation of Venezuela’s sovereignty and called for his urgent return.

Vice President and acting president Delcy Rodríguez has repeatedly described the U.S. action as a “brutal use of force” and “illegal.”
According to Rodriguez, Maduro remains the legitimate president and urges international attention to what she calls a breach of international law.

She has publicly demanded the “immediate release of Maduro and his wife.”
