During a live-streamed church service, a Brooklyn pastor was robbed of more than $1 million in jewelry. He is now being sued for allegedly stealing $90,000 from one of his congregants.
According to the New York Daily News, Lamor Whitehead, the bishop of the Leaders of Tomorrow International Churches in Canarsie, ran for Brooklyn borough president in 2020.
According to the lawsuit, Anderson allegedly sent Whitehead a cashier’s check for $90,000 in November 2020. He agreed to provide her a $100 monthly living allowance.
Whitehead informed Anderson that he was treating her investment as a donation to his borough president campaign in the early months of 2021 after she had not received the stipend or assistance with the property purchase.
