In Ghana, when two lovers decide to make it official, the man and his family go to the lady’s family to “knock on their door,” which means to ask for permission to enter their household and tell them about their intention to marry their daughter.
The family of the lady will present a list of items needed for the traditional marriage, which includes the Bride Price, Schnapps, Cows, Traditional Cloths, Cash, and other valuables such as jewelry and ornaments.

According to the white man, Ghanaian Women are so expensive because he cannot phantom why he should spend a huge amount of money on the family of the bride, like he is buying a product.
He stressed that he will be bearing the cost of the wedding, so why is he supposed to pay a Bride Price with a huge amount?
The Bride Price is an amount of money the Groom’s family pays to the Bride’s family, as the family will be missing their daughter’s labor, and to show respect and commitment.

This was the sole purpose of Bride Price, but for some time, most families have been using the Bride Price to make huge sums.
He indicated that the family of his woman told him they took her to school, and so he needs to pay more.

To him, this statement from the family is baffling, hence, the hasty generalization of Ghanaian Women being Expensive.
He said he wants to marry an uneducated one; maybe the bride price will be low.
