Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie, is set to host his first-ever major concert in the Ashanti Region after being in the music industry for over a decade, happening on the 27th of September 2025.

He calls this the Rapperholic The Homecoming.
Homecoming because he’s from Asante Akyem in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He has been hosting Rapperholic in the nation’s capital, Accra, for a very long time, and since this is the first time he’s hosting a show in Kumasi, he wanted a big venue, and he got the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with 40,000 capacity.
Bongo Ideas, a critic in Ghana known for his odd takes regarding trending issues, has fired shots at Sarkodie and questioned the authorities for allowing the artist to host such a huge event at a venue where the Government has invested.

This swipe Bongo has taken is obviously not from a hate side, he made a point that the Baba Yara Sports Stadium which is the regular home for the Black Stars of Ghana during international break have been banned by the Confedration of African Football, CAF, for months now due to its low quality of the pitch and other facilities in the stadium so why allow a concernt there after fixig some of the problem.
Sark Nation, the name of the artist’s fan base, is currently bashing Bongo for trying to sabotage the Rapper after he has invested so much into Media Tour, walks, flyers, online promotion, and T-shirts.
His Fans are with the notion that the event organizers and decorators will cover the turf like it’s done in other big stadiums across the globe to avoid destruction of the grass.
