He further stated that if the organization is truly for unity, as the name depicts, then there shouldn’t be segregation because the African continent cannot continue to wait on the UN to make decisions about Africa’s Security without their knowledge.
The Kenyan leaders revealed that Africa dominates most of the security Agenda at the UN and provides a huge number of contingents for peacekeeping when there are conflicts in other parts of the world, but they have no permanent seat in the Security Council, which is highly unfair in their opinion, and it puts the image of the UN in the Mud.
The President stated that Africa is the most unstable continent regarding security issues, but it still stands firm, bears the cost, and supports the UN when needed, even though their voices are not considered.
In his opinion, Africa is no longer willing to wait on the margins of global governance on matters of the Continent’s development, security, and Peace are made without their understanding, perspective, and voice.
